Competing in the Malta Xterra 2021, Ren won her class to repeat her win the last time it ran pre-covid.
Wow what a race! I loved it! The run was brutal but due to the heat I used all my hydration before the end of the bike section, and was on the cusp of dehydration with quads screaming. But I won again in this gruelling Tri. The Xtera world championships in Spain a week later made it hard from the start with little sleep and all the travelling. However, no excuses just get on with it. Storms and rain in the days prior to the race made conditions far from ideal on this watery sandy course. My swim was not my best, the bike section allowed me to gain many places and I hung on in the run to finish 4th. Just off the podium but a great result nevertheless.”

Just what is an Xtera Tri? Open water swimming, mountain biking and cross country running. When competing in these international competitions, Ren represents the UK. Ren receives little or no sponsorship and most of her competitions are self funded so being hired for guided rides or with the addition of her experienced tuition is vital to enabling her to continue to compete as an international triathlete.
