For Your Road Cycling Adventures In The Lake District
John Sutcliffe has been cycling since he was three years old and that was a long time ago. He has lived in Lowick Green on the edge of the Lake District National Park for the majority of his adult life and has an intimate knowledge of the lovely Lakeland cycling lanes. John has cycled in Tenerife, Mallorca, Menorca, France, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Italy travelling on guided holidays or cycling with friends and family. Also John is a level 2 ski instructor and a level one snowboard instructor so is well versed with the attitude, skill and humour needed in guiding groups or individuals along new routes.
Graham Carrick is a very active member of the Lakes Road Club, and is assistant head master at the local primary school in Penny Bridge. Initially a mountain bike hound in his teenage years he was converted to being a 'roadie' after riding with John for a couple of years. Graham now regularly competes in a variety of road and grasstrack races together with seasonal Time Trials during the summer. Graham has completed the Fred Whitton Challenge on two occasions in under 9 hours. Graham and his bikes are seldom far apart and he has cycled in Holland, Croatia, Mallorca, France, Spain and Cumbria.... lots and lots of miles in Cumbria.
Graham was born in Ulverston and now lives between Lowick and Penny bridge at Coal Yeat farm, a true Cumbrian who knows the bike rides in this area very well.
