Hire a bike and a trailer from us and have the freedom to explore the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks at your own pace. Following your own routes and staying at campsites in some of the most beautiful areas of the whole country, you can choose to stay in as many different locations as you wish.
Pedal away along ancient lanes, meandering along quiet Lakeland valleys or discover roads over the limestone escarpments of the Yorkshire Dales. Two National Parks within a few miles of each other, yet both completely different areas of outstanding natural beauty. Experience the sweet scent of bluebells on a warm Spring day, the herbal aroma of hay drying in the summer heat, fantastic autumnal tapestries and listen to the birdsong – curlews calling to their mate whilst a red kite glides overhead and let’s not forget the cuckoo… Fields of ewes bleating as they summon their new lambs, cows standing by the gate awaiting their return to the farm for milking – this is rural England at it’s best.
Your camping gear and your personal items and clothes will fit cosily into one of our light, showerproof 2 wheel bike trailers or our specially designed single wheel luggage trailer both of which can be attached to most bikes. Bike Trailers for transporting camping gear.
There are numerous approved campsites scattered all over the two National Parks and if you need help planning your adventure, we can certainly make recommendations. ukcampsite.co.uk and coolcamping.com are good sites to help with your planning. If you want to stay locally for a couple of nights, we recommend Abbot Park Farm Campsite a small site on a family run hill farm with excellent facilities, a camping barn, a tea room and fantastic views over the Lakeland hills.
