We are very proud to consistently be the winner of this award in every year since 2015 which is a true testament to the consistency of service coupled with a fantastic selection of over 100 bikes to hire. Yes, 11 years on the trot!
Over the years the E Bikes have increased in popularity and are best suited to the local rides in the Lake District, where there are inevitable cheeky climbs. E-Bikes just flatten out the hills and make a day’s’ cycling truly wonderful, but you still have to peddle! We have the largest selection of E Bikes to hire in the Lake District, E-Bikes for every type of cyclist.
But let’s not forget Google Reviews too, where from 482 reviews there is a consistent five star rating, with a fantastic recent review from Ollie Olby who has just completed the Fred Whitton Challenge in May 2026 on the Trek Madone project one road bike. Spring this year has been fantastic with over a month of dry warm weather. The blossom has been spectacularly brilliant especially the daffodils and bluebells in the woods. Today in early May it is the Hawthorne hedges and individual Hawthorne trees which are glowing white in the spring sunshine.
There is so much to take in in every month and season of the year here in the quieter southern area of the Lake District. We are so close to Coniston Water and Windermere lakes, a unique area to cycle on or off road. Grizedale Forest is very close and easily accessible.
