Fantastic bike, quick on the flat, reliable handle downhill and enough gears (just) to tackle even the steepest of passes. Also great value in comparison to similar bikes that can be hired in Windermere.

My first experience with a carbon frame and SRAM. Very comfortable bike and soon got used to SRAM levers. The 32 tooth rear sprocket came into its own on a number of the climbs during the ride and the bike andled and braked well on the descents. Great fun.

Just back from a great two day cycling in the lakes with John. This was my third outing and the wettest there were seven of us in our group and I rented the Trek4.7 bike, I have rented this bike before and find the gear ratios for the climbs really good. The bike pleasure to ride and I would have no hesitation in renting it for my next Lake District ride.

I came with a group of men friends to climb the passes of the Fred Witton .But my bike at home was not very good so I called John and he recommended this bike for the best gear ration for these stiff climbs. John was spot on and I managed to keep up with my mates and climb several passes before John came to collect the bike he had delivered from our hotel. Without the additional compact with the 32 cassette I would have to have walked up several of the steeper climbs.
Great bike I can recommend but I did get charged for the damage to the tyres as the road surfaces on these climbs is rough, but it was well worth it.I returned home very tired .
