High and Low Furness Loop

Distance: approx 30 miles

If we continue along the shores of Morecambe Bay from the above ride this flat section of the ride will take us to a cafe overlooking Peil Island with its castle.

After a brew and cake we can head off to the remains of Furness Abbey and return by Gleaston Castle and Watermill. Lots of history in these parts while the giant hangar in Barrow, where they build nuclear subs, looms forbiddingly over the town. This is a lovely varied adventure which is very doable.
