High Furness Loop

Distance: approx 15-19 miles

This part of what is now Cumbria used to be part of Lancashire and was split into High and Low Furness, ancient palatines. The ride south from Lowick meanders through the undulating rich agricultural land towards Ulverston. There is ample opportunity to stop to shop, eat or drink in this historic town before cycling for more adventures to Canal Foot overlooked by the Hoad Monument. We can also take in the wide open views of Morecambe Bay looking across the bay towards Yorkshire peaks in the far distance.
